Indiginus was founded by Tracy Collins, a composer, producer, and studio musician who became
a sample library developer out of necessity. In earlier years, if you were a composer with a
sampler, you didn't have much choice- there simply weren't many sampled instrument libraries out
there (which is why samplers had inputs on the front panel). But it did force one to be resourceful.
Later on, there were well done new libraries, but hey, who could afford them?! We couldn't, so our
first commercial product, Acoustic Guitar Collection, was born. Since it's release we have
upgraded it's functionality with several scripts (like StrumMaker and StrumMaker II) and even a
sample set, and have always provided these updates free to our customers. AGC continues to be
our most popular product by far.
Our mission is to provide high quality sampled instruments that:
-Sound great. Fine instruments recorded with attention to detail.
-Feel great. A sampled instrument should respond to your touch in a predictable, intuitive way.
-Are affordable. Not as many velocity layers, round-robin programming, or release samples as
other, more elaborate libraries. But no compromise on sound or playability.
2009 was a great year for us, and 2010 has started out very well, so look for more to come! We are
in production of a new acoustic guitar library where our StrumMaker II strumming script will be
improved and given a new, "strummed" sample set.
